Learn about how astronomy began. From the geocentric to the heliocentric model of our star system, to learning how light spectroscopy can be used to interpret what lies beyond our own planet. Our applied hacking will explore how to determine the circumference of the Earth using nothing more than a stick on the playground and a tape measure. During the discussion, students will learn how to take measurements which we will use during our applied hacking session to determine the circumference of the Earth and a very interesting surprise awaits.
Time permitting, we will also begin a discussion on general relativity, the speed of light, time travel, and worm holes
We offer full and partial scholarships for our students to try a new academic, sport, and art
Students are encouraged to try things "outside their comfort zone"
Do all three, and we reward you with a scholarship for an adventure
